Hello! I am an Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics at Ontario Tech University.
Previously, I was a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Mathematics at Iowa State University, working with Dr. Steve Butler. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Manitoba under the supervision of Dr. Steve Kirkland, who originally took me on at the Hamilton Institute at National University of Ireland, Maynooth (which is now named Maynooth University).
My research interests are largely in combinatorial matrix theory, linear algebra, and their applications. My Ph.D. research focused on finite Markov chains, and particularly, the influence of the directed graph underlying the chain. The title of my thesis was Markov chains under combinatorial constraints: analysis and synthesis.
